Helena City, Montana
It is located in the western region of the United
States, it has an area of 380,849 square kilometers, so it ranks fourth. Its
capital is the city of Helena but also has other major cities like Billings,
Great Falls, Missoula, Butte, Bozeman, Kalispell, Havre, Anaconda and Miles
City.
Montana has a population of 989,000 habitants, hosts
major Indian reservations formed by the tribes Cheyenne, Salish, Kootenai and
Chippewa.
It comprises an area with vast unexplored territories
of wild nature and great mineral wealth that has allowed him to develop an
important mining activity, so it is given the name "Treasure State".
It has a climate cold dominant with low humidity,
however, it is more moderate what many expect, is considered to be dry so it
does not show overwhelmingly hot nor cold.
Differently from other cold areas of the nation, warm
winds and temperate periods interrupt their seasons of bad weather, but we can
appreciate other kinds of storms such as hailstorms that can cause severe
damage to crops and properties.
Through its territory crosses a rock formation
striking known as the Rocky Mountains that are very attractive for tourism.
Here we also find a part of Yellowstone National Park, the first and oldest
national park in the world (1872), it is one of the largest temperate ecosystem
area still remain, we can see most of the geysers on the planet.
Its main economic activities are: farming, pig
farming, cultivation of wheat, hay and sugar, mining, oil and gas, coal,
metals, wood products, food processing and printing.
